Dear Parents

A Big Green Adventure

Well done Year 4 for your amazing performances this week with wonderful singing, acting and dancing. The powerful message will stay with us all and remind us to look after our incredible planet. Thank you to Mrs Hollingsworth and the team of staff for working so hard to achieve the fantastic performances.

Harvest Collection

Thank you to Mrs G Douglas for organising the Harvest donations for the ‘Three Pillars - feeding the homeless and supporting the local community in need’ charity.

Many thanks to all of you for your generous donations. A huge amount was donated this year which will be gratefully received.

Macmillan Nurses

A huge well-done to Mrs Burrows for organising our annual staff Macmillan Coffee Morning in memory of Mrs Biddle who worked at this school leaving the legacy of a love for outdoor learning. This year staff have raised over £575 for the Macmillan Nurses who nurture and support so many people. Thank you, Mrs Copeman, for baking the extraordinary raffle prize and well done to Mrs Iaciofano, this year’s winner who has kindly donated the cake to staff for £1 a slice to raise extra money for this fantastic charity!

Parents Evening Reminder

Remember to book your appointments ready for the Parents Evening after half term on Monday 9th November & Wednesday 11th November.

Halloween and Bonfire Night

As we approach Halloween and Bonfire Night, we hope you all enjoy the celebrations with family and friends.

Whether you're trick-or-treating, attending a firework display, or celebrating at home, please remember to stay safe:

🎃 Children should always be accompanied by a responsible adult when out trick-or-treating.

🎆 Attend organised firework displays wherever possible. If using fireworks at home, follow the Firework Code and keep a safe distance.

🧥 Wear bright or reflective clothing when out in the dark so that you can be easily seen by drivers.

🔥 Keep sparklers at arm's length, wear gloves, and place used sparklers in a bucket of water once they have cooled.

🐾 Remember that fireworks can be distressing for pets and wildlife, so plan ahead to help keep them calm and safe.

Most importantly, have a wonderful time making special memories and celebrating responsibly.

Have a lovely half term holiday.
