Dear Parents

New Key Stage 2 Climbing Frame

It has been great to see the children exploring the new climbing frame next to the Key Stage 2 playground this week.

Reminder

At Bridgewater, racism in language, behaviour or attitudes from children will not be tolerated. Please remind your children that we are an inclusive school where everyone is valued and treated with respect.

Puddles and Pine

The Puddles and Pine Forest School session for toddlers was popular this week, all enjoying being outside in the fresh air and nature.  There are still a few places if you would like to come along with your little ones.

You can reserve a place using the link below, which is also available on our website and Facebook page:

Duxford Year 2 Trip

Year 2 had an excellent day of learning at the Imperial War Museum Duxford. This experience provided a fabulous opportunity to build upon the work that has taken place this term on the history of flight.  The children behaved impeccably throughout the day and asked lots of thoughtful questions.  They even got to go on a Concorde!

Parking Reminder

Please ensure that you park safely and considerately at all times, with respect for our local residents. This is a particular problem in Ellis Way and Trinity Road where vehicles are parking on double yellow lines near the school entrance. This can force parents and children to walk in the road, creating avoidable safety risks. We all want to keep our children safe during drop-off and pick-up times.

Thank you to those who park at a safe distance and take a short walk into school.

Science Fun for Key Stage 1

On Wednesday, four children from Key Stage 1 were fortunate enough to attend a science extravaganza at Barry Road Primary School.  They completed activities about forces, the seasons and animals and living things.  Their behaviour was exemplary and they used this opportunity to demonstrate their excellent knowledge and understanding.  Well done everyone!

Artificial Intelligence

If you choose to use AI to communicate with school, please edit it before sending it through to ensure it reflects your views and try to make it as succinct and focused as possible.  AI could also misrepresent the tone you want to achieve and come across as disrespectful if it’s not edited carefully.

It is tricky as we adapt to this evolving technology. AI is an area that will be addressed with the children through the ‘Project Evolve’ online safety curriculum and the upcoming Safer Internet Day on 10th February.

Have a lovely weekend
