Dear Parents,
Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful summer together and enjoyed the lovely weather. It’s been great to see the children settle back into school so quickly, they’ve loved catching up with friends and making the most of the field and outdoor space.
New Intake – Early Years
Next week, we’re excited to welcome Group A into Early Years. Children will start at 9:15am with a 3:00pm pick-up. We can’t wait to see them looking smart in their new uniforms at the beginning of their school journey.
Parent Tours
Our first parent tour for families applying for September 2026 Intake takes place next Tuesday. If you know anyone with a child due to start then, please direct them to the school website where they can book a tour.
Parking
A gentle reminder to please park safely and respectfully along local roads, keeping driveways and access clear for residents. On Milverton Crescent, parking should only be on the school side to allow space for emergency vehicles. Alternatively, parking near Abington Park is a safe option and offers a pleasant short walk into school. Families with a blue badge are welcome to contact the office for access to designated spaces.
One-Way System
To help keep everyone safe during busy times, please continue to follow the clearly signposted one-way walking system around the site.
No Mobile Phones
Please remember that mobile phones should not be used on site. We’re especially proud of our Year 5 and Year 6 children, who have embraced our no-smartphone rule, out of 180 children, only two have call-only phones, which is a fantastic step forward.
Lost Property
Please remember to put name labels in your child’s clothes or use a permanent marker. I have just found 22 pieces of lost property in the Inspire building including four new coats with no names in.
Earrings
Just a reminder that earrings are not permitted in school in line with our Health and Safety policy (available on the website). If your child has recently had their ears pierced, studs must be covered for the first six weeks. Otherwise, earrings should be removed for the school day and saved for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Reading Records
Can we remind everyone to sign the reading record books please, which are in use from Year 3 to Year 6, and those in KS1 are still encouraged to regularly update the Boom Reader app. Thankyou
Have a lovely weekend
Alison Harvey
