Dear Parents
Changes to FSM/PP for the 2026 to 2027 Academic Year
Today we have sent an email to all parents and carers with the latest updates about Free School Meals for 2026/27. The changes mean that more families than ever may now qualify, as all households receiving Universal Credit can apply.
If your child already gets Free School Meals, you’ll still need to reapply to make sure they continue from September. Please have a quick read of the email so you’re all set for the new school year.
Everdon Trip
Year 3 Hockney class had a wonderful day at Everdon yesterday. They braved a short rain storm on the way through the village down to the river and then spent the entire day with the expert Everdon and Bridgewater staff and had great fun completing a variety of river studies. What a great way to learn!
Rhino Sports
We are delighted to welcome Rhino sports to Bridgewater who as well as running clubs before and after school are also going to be running summer camps for local children. More details about how to book will be shared with you shortly. You will be able to meet some staff on Sports day, and they will also be at the Summer Fair on Saturday 27th June.
We would like to thank Pacesetters who we have worked with us over several years for their support and expertise and wish them well for the future.
Year 4 Multiplication Tables Checks (MTC)
Well done to Year 4, who completed their Multiplication Tables Checks this week. It is quite a technique to be able to answer quickly on the computers, but they have all focused on the task in hand and completed them confidently. Keep practising your tables everyone so that you can reason and solve maths problems with greater fluency.
Have a lovely weekend
Alison Harvey
