Dear Parents
I am delighted to announce that Mrs Frances Troop, will be the new Head teacher for Bridgewater Primary School commencing in January 2027. This is after going through a rigorous and thorough interview process where Mrs Troop’s qualities shone through.
Mrs Troop and I have worked together for over twenty years, weaving together all the threads that make Bridgewater special and I know that the school is in very good hands. She has been paramount in the whole approach to Inclusion, SEND and nurture provision, and we have worked together to establish an ethos and a culture with strong values that run throughout the whole community. It’s reassuring to know that this will continue to be a respectful community where everyone wants to come and work and learn together.
Thanks go to our governors led by Mr Mitchell and school staff with a special mention to Mrs Atlas who coordinated everything alongside Mrs Watson. Thanks also go to Martin Collard our LA School Improvement Partner and Mrs Dolan an experienced Head teacher from a local school who supported the process. Thank you to the School Council who asked some excellent, thought-provoking questions that made the candidates think hard!
I’m looking forward to the next two terms where we will continue to work together with all the stakeholders, building a strong team for a smooth transition.
