Apparatus Fun in PE

The children had a wonderful time in their first PE session back after half term. It was their very first experience of using the school apparatus and there were gasps of joy all around as they walked into the hall to see the climbing wall, ladders, benches and ropes out ready to explore!

As they climbed the children had to use their upper body strength to pull themselves up the climbing frame, rope and ladders and showed great deterrmination and resilence in challenging themselves. It was delightful to see their beaming smiles as they succeeded in reaching the top!

The balancing beam proved a challenge, but the children showed great resilence and did not give up! Some children demonstrated great kindness as they offered their friends a helping hand as they helped to steady them. 

The children explored different ways of travelling along the benches and practised their 'squishy' knees as they worked on jumping safely from a height. 

We are all looking forward to our next PE session!
