Harvest Time In Reception

The Reception children had fun harvesting our pears and apples from the Forest School garden fruit trees. On our return to class we discussed what we could use our fruit for. 

We decided to develop our fine motor skills and peeled and cut the fruit to create a delicious crumble. To create the topping we mixed together flour and butter and finally added some sugar to the bread crumb mixture. 

It was really exciting spending time in our STEM room sitting at the big tables and waiting as the delicious smell of the cooking crumble wafted through the school. 

We think there may be some budding chefs in the year group!
