Our Busy Blog
The Nursery Team consists of Mrs Gilkes (Nursery Lead), Mrs Tortora , Mrs Iaciofano, Miss MacLeod and Lunchtime Supervisor Mrs Sharp.
All members of the team work hard to offer a nurturing and supportive learning environment for the children to thrive and grow. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum with an emphasis on promoting the characteristics of effective learning. This approach fosters a love of learning and provides challenge linked closely to developmentally age appropriate experience. We strive to create an environment where the children feel confident to explore and discover new things. As a Nursery, we understand that all children are unique and understand the importance of following their individual interests.

We have had a busy few weeks at Nursery!
At nursery the children enjoyed a visit from Mrs Hsu who gave them an introduction to Spanish,they have been learning the Spanish words for colours,animals and a little song.We have also been looking at Diwali,`The festival of lights`they have used clay to create diva lamps using their fingers to pinch the clay into shape.We have enjoyed picking the produce from our nursery garden,this included pumpkins,peas and runner beans.The children enjoyed cooking and tasting the beans.We made observational drawings of the pumpkins using different mediums.
