Spanish Week!

This week was Spanish week at Bridgewater and we took part in some exciting activities at nursery.

At the beginning of the week the language ambassadors came to visit us. They created some fun games involving the colours in Spanish and taught us how to count all the way to 16!

To continue the celebrations we bakes some Galletas Españolas (Spanish Cookies). We started measuring all the ingredients and putting them into a large bowl. The children mixed all the ingredients together to form a dough. Once we'd done that the adults baked the cookies in the oven. Once cooked the children helped to dust them with icing sugar.

We had the cookies for snack whilst listening to some traditional Spanish guitar music. A few of the children commented they enjoyed the music. After this we practicied our Spanish colours and numbers to 5.

Thankyou to the language ambassadors for creating some really fun activities for the children!
