Police Visit !

This week we have been lucky to have the police come to visit us at nursery. 

We have been learning about 'people who help us' at nursery for the past couple of weeks. On Wednesday morning we had some visitors from the police to come and see us and talk to us about how they help in the community. They talked to the children in detail about the different parts of their uniform and what they do. They also bought a police car and and van for the children to look at and we even got to have a look inside!   Which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

We hope we didn't disturb the neighbours with the sound of the sirens. :)

We split into groups so we could all have the opportunity to experience trying on the dress up outfits the police bought with them (every child that wanted too got to dress up). We also read the story of PC Ben, which was very interesting. The children had lots of interesting questions to ask and thank you to the police for coming to see us!
