Head's Blog
Welcome to this celebration of learning blog. I always think of the blogs as providing a window to look into the children’s fascinating world at school. I am in the privileged position to be able to capture events across the school and community as they happen and share them with you. It’s also a bit like a diary in that you can look back and see a colourful reflection of the year.

It's exciting to wander around Bridgewater on a bright sunny afternoon to see the vibrant learning happening all around. Y2 were developing brush techniques painting their interpretation of The Great Fire of London. Many classes had a variety of resources out supporting them to embed place value from bead strings to numicom and art straws. Y3 were out in the sunshine practising hockey, with their 'Friends' water bottles perched on the bench ready to hydrate them. Children were learning Computing with Mr Kennedy and classifying sweets - yes liquorice allsorts in their Y6 science lesson with Mrs Hallett. Reception were happily floating and sinking colourful boats in the water tray on their first week in school. You can see a rainbow being created for the Proud Cloud in Reception and three girls in Y1 gathered around the computer. Another lovely week.
