Head's Blog

Welcome to this celebration of learning blog. I always think of the blogs as providing a window to look into the children’s fascinating world at school.  I am in the privileged position to be able to capture events across the school and community as they happen and share them with you.  It’s also a bit like a diary in that you can look back and see a colourful reflection of the year.

Art Exhibition - The Queen through the decades

We ran our Platinum jubilee exhibition alongside our sports days so that families could enjoy the sports in the sunshine and also walk through and admire the chikdren's art work displayed in the hall.  Each year group had been tasked by Miss Williams, our Art Lead, to represent the Queen through the decades in the form of a portrait.  Each child created portraits with great care creativity and skill which many of you you have seen for yourselves in our hall.  I am very impressed at how the staff have supported the children to develop new skills to such a high standard.  It was also wonderful to see the different representations using a variety of materials from print making to collage, shading in pencil, layering using coffee to paint with for a sepia effect.  Wonderful - well done children and keep creating.  Everyone of you is an artist in the making.B1F830BE E2E1 4B53 907B 93DCC43B5E81
