Head's Blog

Welcome to this celebration of learning blog. I always think of the blogs as providing a window to look into the children’s fascinating world at school.  I am in the privileged position to be able to capture events across the school and community as they happen and share them with you.  It’s also a bit like a diary in that you can look back and see a colourful reflection of the year.

Bridgewater Summer Fair 2022

The weather was kind to us and the crowds arrived to have a lovely time at the Bridgewater Summer Fair.  The Friends had been working hard all year long to prepare for the event and pulled together a wide range of stalls and exciting activities making it a hugely successful afternoon. Thank you so much to all the Bridgewater Friend volunteers for your time and commitment led enthusiastically by Leena.

It was fantastic to catch up with so many past and present pupils and families.  There was the bowls club, jujitsu, scouts and the wonderful Mayhew dancers performed for us.  It was a great idea to have the food trucks alongside all the home made goodies.  Thank you to the staff for running the fun games and activities and it was lovely to see the childrens faces as they hooked a duck, found a Pom Pom, or a lolly stick for a prize.

How lovely to have the community together again after several lockdowns making wonderful memories.
