Developing a love of reading, books and storytelling is a big part of our learning at Bridgewater Primary. This week the children were excited to have their first visit to our lovely school library which is carefully looked after by our school librarian Mrs Tasher.
During these sessions the children are treated to a special storytime session by Mrs Tasher herself who carefully links the story to something that the children have been learning in class. This week it was a book called 'The Same but Different Too' by Karl Newson which linked beautifully to our maths learning where the children have been sorting, comparing and matching.
The children then spent sometime selecting their own book to borrow for the week! These books can be changed every Friday.
Happy Reading!
