Head's Blog
Welcome to this celebration of learning blog. I always think of the blogs as providing a window to look into the children’s fascinating world at school. I am in the privileged position to be able to capture events across the school and community as they happen and share them with you. It’s also a bit like a diary in that you can look back and see a colourful reflection of the year.

Y6 had a fantastic residential at the PGL centre in Osmington Bay in Dorset this September. We had beautiful weather to enjoy a full range of activities from building rafts, to beach walks, abseiling, rock climbing and the zip wire to name a few. The instructors were excellent and encouraged and supported the children to achieve new challenges and reach great heights ... literally. The children laughed and screamed (with delight) and were fantastic team players supporting each other and strengthening their friendships. I think many surprised themselves at what they could achieve and felt great satisfaction and a new found confidence. The staff, led by Mr Lagdon, were amazing supporting the children from dawn until they dropped off to sleep, always smiling, reassuring and getting to see new sides to all the children. We were very proud of them all and know they will have treasured memories to look back upon.
