Head's Blog

Welcome to this celebration of learning blog. I always think of the blogs as providing a window to look into the children’s fascinating world at school.  I am in the privileged position to be able to capture events across the school and community as they happen and share them with you.  It’s also a bit like a diary in that you can look back and see a colourful reflection of the year.

Northampton Town Diwali Parade

It was a privilege for Bridgewater Primary School to, once again be able to take part in the annual Northampton Town Diwali Parade.  Year 3 created beautiful illuminated diva lamp lanterns which they made with the help of Paul Smith from Festival Road.  They looked spectacular on the parade as we walked around the town passed our historic buildings alongside other schools, the university and giant animaton puppets.  We walked with all our friends to the beat of the drums celebrating the Hindu festival.  Thank you Mrs Douglas for organising and making this a memorable community event for Bridgewater Primary each year.
