Year 4 Science Investigation

Year 4 children have been looking into states of matter in their science topic this week, particularly investigating whether gases have any weight. The children considered how to find the weight of gases then conducted their own experiment. The children measured the weight of two different fizzy beverages, stirred the carbon dioxide gas out of the drink then remeasured to find out whether there was a difference in the weight.

The children formed conclusions based on their own findings after recording their findings in a table.

Anti-bullying Week

Year 4 have been focussing on Anti-bullying week this week. The children have considered the word "humble" and examined its etymology. The classes enjoyed getting to know the children in their twinned classes, retelling the "Jelly Bean with No Flavour" tale, and helping the younger children design their own jelly beans.
