Chinese New Year

     03.02.22 22

We have been celebrating and learning about Chinese New Year. The children have all been participating in lots of different activities around the nursery. The children loved using their senses to explore cooked noodles and used chop sticks to work on their fine motor skills. We couldn’t learn about Chinese New Year without creating our own dragon! The children have had the opportunity to make their own out of red play dough and different art resources. Alongside this, we also created a very large dragon out of our junk modelling. The children used their problem solving skills to figure out what type of glue was needed to fix all the different pieces together. Lastly, some of the children helped to make a noodle stir-fry. Everyone tried some and a lot of the children said they thoroughly enjoyed it.
