Out of School Club
Welcome to Bridgewater’s Out of School Club (OSC). Having been established by the school, we pride ourselves in following Bridgewater’s ethos and expectations within a homely, relaxing environment. Children are encouraged to: be respectful to each other and the environment, gain independence, help others, be kind, caring and considerate within our enriching environment.
We organise a variety of activities including: themed weeks, cookery, gardening and always utilise Bridgewater’s fantastic grounds through lots of outdoor play. Children are welcome to complete their home learning on a Thursday evening in a quieter area with a teaching assistant on hand to support.
The OSC is an electronic device free zone where children enjoy playing traditional board games, role play and running outside with their friends etc.
Our afternoon snacks, which are often provided by our chef, are on a two-week rotation and fruit is always available.
The club provides wrap around care with well qualified, caring staff to support families in their busy lives. We open at 7.45 am and drop the children to their classes at 8:45am. Children are then collected from their classes at the end of the school day and we then run until 17:45pm.
Please feel free to contact the school office for further information.
Welcome Back!
First of all welcome back and Happy New Year!. We hope you are well rested and ready for another jam packed term full of fun. Last term we ended with Chrsitmas week, hosting our very own OSC Christmas Party. The children played lots of festive games, enjoyed buffet food and finished the night off with a boogie! Here are a few photos of Christmas week for you to enjoy...
OSC have lots planned for you in 2019 including celebrating Chinese New Year, cooking, arts & crafts and we certainly look forward to the warmer nights for the endless fun outside. Have a lovely New Year and we look forward to having you back!
Sparkly Spooktacular Fun!
We've had two very creative weeks here at Out of School Club, the fun hasn't stopped. We started with a spooktacular Halloween week where we made scary sock puppets and iced biscuits...yummy. This week the activities continued with a visit from Mrs Biddle, she helped us toast marshmallows around the bonfire and light up the night with sparklers! An amazing two weeks with lots of smiles and full up tummies!
