It was great to hear in many of the children's TLCs that they have been enjoying Science this term. We have been studying materials and their properties and completing a range of experiments to investigate this area. Here are a couple of examples:
Here we are investigating reversible and irreversible changes. We mixed baking powder and vinegar, and found that this produced carbon dioxide, which inflated the balloons! This was an irreversible change. Perhaps the children could look for reversible and irreversible changes in their every day lives.
In the lesson below, we were investigating how we could separate mixtures of materials. We used a range of techniques such as sieving, filtration and evaporation.
