Dear Parents
Year 4 at the Frontier Centre
The Year 4 team have had a fantastic time at the Frontier Centre this week! We were lucky with dry weather, which made for perfect conditions to enjoy all the exciting activities on offer. The children had an amazing time canoeing on the River Nene—and even jumping in! They also took part in rock climbing, fire lighting, den building, archery and a range of fun evening activities.
The Frontier Centre staff were incredibly encouraging, sensitive, and supportive throughout. A huge thank you goes to our dedicated school staff team, led by Miss Knight, who worked around the clock to ensure the children were safe, happy and having a brilliant time.
We’re sure everyone will enjoy a well-earned rest this weekend!
Year 6 SATs
Well done to all the children and staff in Year 6 who are fully prepared for the national SATs tests next week! We are incredibly proud of how calmly and methodically the children have approached their work, always striving to do their best.
To all our Year 6 pupils: make sure to eat well, get plenty of sleep (early to bed and no screens!), and enjoy some relaxing time with your family and friends over the weekend.
We look forward to seeing you bright and early at 8:30 am next week. You'll have time to enjoy breakfast with your friends and play outside before we begin each day.
Nursery
A big thank you to the Police who visited Nursery this week!
Their surprise arrival in a police car and van brought so much excitement as the children learned about people who help us. The officers read a story, and the children had a fantastic time dressing up as police officers themselves. It was a fun and educational experience for all!
Abington Park Community Group
Well done to the children who have been working hard on the community garden! You may see them several more times before the end of the year as they continue maintaining and enhancing this beautiful space.
V.E Day
The children listened attentively to Mrs. Troop’s assembly this week, learning about the significance of VE Day. They watched historical footage and reflected on the experiences of those who lived through the war. Some pupils are now writing heartfelt letters to a World War II veteran who is an incredible 101 years old.
Have a lovely weekend
