Dear Parents
Mental Health Week
There have been lots of meaningful assemblies and activities around school for Mental Health Week. The children made posters and shared affirmations with their twin classes. The connections the younger children make with older children when the classes are twinning is very special and something I hope they will look back on and remember fondly.
NSPCC Number Day
The children enjoyed sharing number work activities with their families this morning at the ‘Walk-In Friday’. Thank you to Miss Knight, Miss Holmes and the team who ensure the children are taking part in exciting and engaging maths lessons. It’s great to hear the children talking about their love of maths and number enthusiastically.
Jewellery and Makeup
We have seen an increase in jewellery in school which is best saved for the weekends and holidays. Children should not be wearing any but if ears have been pierced, they should be covered until they have healed after six weeks. Can you also check that some older children aren’t coming in to school in makeup please. Thank you.
Fidget Toys
Some children are bringing in their own fidget toys to school. Only certain fidget toys are provided for individuals where it is deemed appropriate by the SENCO or teacher. Please don’t bring in any random objects from home that can be lost, broken or swapped but keep them at home to enjoy.
Reception Applications – September 2025
If you know of a family who may be interested in a school place for their child in our Ofsted ‘outstanding’ early years provision for September 2025, please ask them to call the office to arrange a visit. We would be delighted to show them around the school, so they can see what a happy and thriving learning community we are!

And Finally
It has been good to see the children outside in the sunshine this week and appreciating our outside space.
Have a lovely weekend
