Diwali in Year 3

As part of our Hinduism topic in RE, some year 3 children took part in a Diwali lanterns workshop with artist Paul Smith from Festive Road. They worked hard to create beautiful illuminated diva lamps out of willow, in preparation for the Diwali Parade that took place in the town centre on 15th October. It was lovely to see so many children and families from Bridgewater, enjoying the wonderful procession.

We also celebrated Diwali in school by taking part in Rangoli art activities, some Bollywood dancing and learning about the story of Rama and Sita.

What have you learnt about Diwali and Hindusim this term? Write your comments below.
