Out of School Club

Welcome to Bridgewater’s Out of School Club (OSC). Having been established by the school, we pride ourselves in following Bridgewater’s ethos and expectations within a homely, relaxing environment. Children are encouraged to: be respectful to each other and the environment, gain independence, help others, be kind, caring and considerate within our enriching environment.

We organise a variety of activities including: themed weeks, cookery, gardening and always utilise Bridgewater’s fantastic grounds through lots of outdoor play. Children are welcome to complete their home learning on a Thursday evening in a quieter area with a teaching assistant on hand to support.

The OSC is an electronic device free zone where children enjoy playing traditional board games, role play and running outside with their friends etc.

Our afternoon snacks, which are often provided by our chef, are on a two-week rotation and fruit is always available.

The club provides wrap around care with well qualified, caring staff to support families in their busy lives. We open at 7.45 am and drop the children to their classes at 8:45am. Children are then collected from their classes at the end of the school day and we then run until 17:45pm.

Please feel free to contact the school office for further information.

Spooktacular & Whiz Fiz Bang Week!

Spooktacular Week

The children enjoyed making spooky haunted houses, pumpkin faces and marshmallow monsters ready for Halloween.

Whiz Fiz Bang Week

This week we had an exciting bonfire for the children to enjoy, alongside sparklers and toasted marshmallows. They loved eating them washed down with a hot chocolate! We made fruit rockets which were out of this world and got messy with the paint to make firework display artwork. To finish off an exciting week, the children coated marshmallows in melted chocolate and added sprinkles... LOTS of sprinkles!

Book Week!

Book Week!

This week OSC have been celebrating World Book Day by looking at 5 amazing authors: J.K Rowling, Beatrix Potter, Enid Blyton, Jeff Kinney and Lynley Dodd. From creating their own mythical beasts to building Hairy Maclary's mini houses, the children have thoroughly enjoyed diving into each book and bringing it to life. They even used their green fingers to plant Mr McGregor's garden right outside Out of School Club, we can't wait to see it bloom!
