Helping at Home
In Year 5, the children are set home learning each week which should be completed in their homework books. It will be set on a Thursday and is due in the following Tuesday. In addition to this, please continue to support your child with their reading by regularly reading to them, listening to them read and asking them questions about their reading. Please ensure they log it on Boom reader. It is expected that the children use Times Tables Rockstars a couple of times a week; they have their own password to access this activity.
PE is each Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon so please make sure your children come to school in the appropriate kit on these days.

Science Week Red Bull Racing Workshop
Mr Moore from Red Bull Racing inspired our Year 5 children this week when he talked about the science involved in Formula One racing. He showed us Max Verstappen's helmet and different parts of the car such as the brakes and steering wheel. We learned that many of the parts of the car are made out of carbon fibre because it is the strong but also light.
