Year groups throughout the school enjoyed attending tennis taster sessions on Wednesday and hopefully some children will have been inspired to take up the sport.
Several children enjoyed attending an archery competition this week displaying good sportsmanship as well as improving their arrow skills.
We are very impressed with learning across the school but particularly in Year 6 this week, as they have shown that their learning has moved on in leaps and bounds. Keep up the great attitude to learning Year 6, ready for secondary school and well done to all the teachers and families for building confidence and skills again after the last two years.
Safety at Drop Offs and Pick Up Times
Please can we remind the children to walk on the pavements and not on the road within the turning circle when they come into school. We will also be opening the side gate for exiting school and ask that you leave via this gate as the double car park gates will be closed. We are able to do this now as we are no longer in bubbles. We will however be maintaining the one-way system to stop crowding and keep foot traffic flowing.
Can we remind you to drive slowly in and around school as we have had concerned parents sharing that people are pulling away quickly from parking spaces without looking carefully.
We are re-establishing our school values and have been working on respect this term with the children. Can we remind all adults to show respect to school staff at all times and communicate appropriately and through the correct channels.
Next week is Science Week and we will report back about all our learning at the end of the week. Mrs Hallett has organised an assembly for Monday and we will be focused on ‘Rocket Mice’.
