In our Book Talk session, we shared the beautiful story ‘The Extraordinary Gardener’ by Sam Boughton which sees a boy called Joe set about transforming his community from grey and dull, into an extraordinarily colourful and beautiful environment.

This inspired us to create our own flowers utilising our newly acquired/refined art skills of colour mixing, cutting, joining and constructing. We then worked collaboratively to print, paint and model are own textural background to collage our beautiful flowers onto.

These pieces of collaborative art have certainly added joy, colour, and beauty to our classroom environments.
