We used Starbursts to investigate the different types of rocks.    We started to explore sedimentary rocks, by pressing our little pieces of starburst together. 

Then we moved onto metamorphic rocks - where we applied heat and pressure.

Finally we microwaved all our starburst into a gooey mixture to represent lava which solidified into our igneous rock.
