NSPCC Assembly

Year 3 enjoyed the assembly delivered by the NSPCC last week. We met Buddy, the soft toy speech bubble, and learnt how much he wants every child to feel safe. Throughout the assembly, we talked about about different worries we might have, and how that can affect us.

Buddy taught us about the different types of abuse that exist. We learnt that abuse is never ok, and it is never a child’s fault. We talked about different trusted adults we can go to if we have any worries. There are lots of trusted adults in our lives including our parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles, teachers, teaching assistants, lunchtime supervisors. We can also contact Childline, which is free to call and open 24 hours a day. The phone number if you ever need it is 0800 1111.

The NSPCC told us about Buddy’s Big Workout, which is a sponsored workout we will be running in school to raise money for the NSPCC to help other children stay safe.
