Measure Madness

This week we have been learning to measure capacity. We have learned to read a scale and have begun to compare the capacity of different containers. We were surprised to learn that tall, thin containers don’t necessarily hold the greatest volume of water and that in actual fact, wider containers tend to hold a larger volume of water. We’ve enjoyed solving problems abut Vikings and their hot water spring baths, working together to convert ml and l. Here are some photographs of us hard at work
