In Science, we are exploring animals and their habitats. We are looking at why an animal is suited to that habitat, and how both the animal and habitat support each other.

We are very lucky to have the swale right in our background so we decided to explore the pond habitat around us.

We spotted lots of plants including bulrushes and lilypads but unfortunately we didn't spot any newts. We discussed that the lily pads depend on the pond to spread their seeds, while the newts depend on the lily pads to provide shelter.

 We had an enjoyable time!
