The new Week A Reception children have made a fantastic start at Bridgewater Primary. We are happy to say they have settled in really well and are starting to familiarise themselves with our school environment, routines and expectations.
The children have been enjoying eating their lunch in the hall each day.
The children have started learning to read and write the words ‘sat’, ‘mat’, ‘sit’ and ‘at’ in our daily phonics lessons. It would be great if you could encourage your children to read and write these words at home over the next week.
They have been to the library to borrow their first book. You can share these at home over the next week. Please just make sure they return to book bags after each time you read them so they are in school each day for when we need them. We will change their library books on a Friday.
We have also sung lots of songs together, done lots of counting and number play and busy in all our wonderful learning areas.
Please make sure to look on Seesaw for the children’s individual learning moments.
