Exploring in the Sunshine

                 SM342166             IC09312

It's been a lovely week of sunshine and we've fully embraced this while at nursery. We have had great fun outside exploring water play and relaxing in the sunshine.

The children have spent a long time cooling down in the water trays, building tracks and runs for the water to flow from one area of the garden to another, watering the plants and splashing in all of their puddles.

While in the sand pit we have had fun creating our own islands and volcanoes and combining the sand with the water. We have spoken about the properties of the sand when adding water to it and have used this to support our sand constructions. We have also been developing our vocabulary and understanding of capacity as we have explored how many coconut shells it has taken to fill up the buckets.

The children have been doing lots of relaxing whilst finding spots of shade to enjoy sitting together to talk and share stories.
