Maths and Mini Beasts

202011

What a lovely first week back we have had. It's been lovely hearing about everyone's Spring break and catching up with the children's new interests.

This week the children have really enjoyed exploring the new sand pit. The children started talking about the seaside and the fun that you can have at the beach. They've loved taking their shoes and socks off and feeling the sand between their toes while building sand castles.

The children have had great fun this week exploring their understanding around mini beasts and frogs. The children have been going to the swale in small groups with the nursery camera to take pictures of bugs, frogspawn and tadpoles.

Inside the children have really enjoyed exploring the math's pebbles to create their own repeated patterns and building elaborate structures using the wooden blocks.
