Dear Parents
Governor Drop In
Mr Mitchell, Chair of Governors. and Mrs Shamsuddin, Parent Governor, enjoyed talking to parents last week at the parent drop in after school. They spoke to about 40 parents/carers and we thank you for your overwhelmingly positive comments about it being a wonderful school with happy children.
One parent made a good point that children should not be on scooters within the school perimeter fence as it is dangerous, and we have been reminding the children again this week.
Another mentioned that some families leave rubbish in the Pocket Park which is shame for other people, so if you do have something I hope that you could take it home or use any available bins.
Dance Workshop
The children in Year 5 have had a wonderful time learning the ‘Can Can’ and the Year 6 children learned the ‘Flamenco’ with Rebecca from Primary Workshops this week.
Year 6 Cluster Transition Day
Yesterday, our Year 6 children who are moving to their secondary schools soon had a chance to meet up with their new friends. Thank you to Kingsthorpe Grove Primary School and Moulton Primary School for running the event where the children went around a circuit of fun sports with their new friends from other primary schools. The rain held off and it was lovely to see the children chatting and playing together with some organising to meet up.
Training Day
The children start back at school on Tuesday 4th June after a training day on the Monday.
