Dear Parents
After a lovely long weekend, we have managed to squeeze plenty into our four-day week.
Hi5 Netball Competition
On Wednesday, a group of Y6’s played in the inter-school netball competition organised by Northamptonshire Sport. The Bridgewater team played brilliantly and came third. Miss Conroy was super proud of the team and would like to thank Sasha Atlas for volunteering to help at the event.
Brass Recital
Mrs Holding organised for the whole school to attend a live musical performance via Zoom. We watched and listened in awe of a brass recital, performed by Northamptonshire Music & Performing Arts Trust.
Election Day
As you know, we act as a polling station on election days and I would like to thank all the parents and children for bearing with us.
Eco Council up date from Miss McDonnell
The Eco Warriors have started their good work by recycling pens and Malachi (Y5) has collected boxes of used pens from around the school. Keep an eye out for the 'Lights Off' project that the children start next week.
School Council update from Mrs Watson
The School Council has been litter picking around the school this week. Mrs Watson was very pleased to see their enthusiasm for the task and their passion for the environment.
Trips and Residentials
The Government is now permitting day trips to go ahead and our Educational Visit Co-Ordinators have been very busy with requests to begin planning and arranging trips for the children.
We are still waiting to hear if the upcoming residential to Osmington Bay can go ahead and we eagerly await the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday 17 May.
However, I can confirm that the following residential visits have been provisionally booked for 2022 and further information will come out to parents in the next few weeks:
Year 4 (current Year 3): Frontier Centre Residential – Wednesday 11 May to Friday 13 May 2022
Year 6 (current Year 5): Osmington Bay Residential – Monday 28 March to Friday 1 April 2022
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Alison Harvey
