Dear Parents

Welcome back and I hope you’ve enjoyed the exceptionally warm summer weather. 

We are looking forward to meeting our new Reception children, group A children next week and group B the following week for their very first day at big school. We are also looking forward to seeing all of Nursery children as well as Year 1 to Year 6.  We are excited to hear all their stories! 

The staff have been busy in school this week training, and getting the school and classrooms looking lovely for everyone’s return on Monday.

International Schools Award

Over the summer we were awarded the International Schools Award which is in recognition of the global aspects of our curriculum.  Thank you to Mrs Hsu, our Spanish teacher, and all of the team for their dedication to raising the profile of our international curriculum for the children.

Schools Library Challenge

Very well done to all our Bridgewater Gadgeteers who were first place in the Weston Favell Library reading challenge this summer.  It is so important to keep reading all sorts of books and reading matter in our world full of technology. 

After we settle in next week we will be sharing with you a new way of recording the children’s reading which looks very effective and easy to use, once we all get used to it Miss Valentine shall be sharing a login for the app with you soon.
