World Book Day 2022

This year is the 25th anniversary of World Book Day! The message for all children was, ‘you are a reader’. We had a wonderful time sharing our favourite books that we had bought in from home and telling each other why we would recommend it.

The children were very excited to be given their bookmarks where they need to colour in a box every time they read. After all the reading sessions this week, many of you will have lots of boxes to colour in!

We started a book study on the story called The Lost Thing by Shaun Tan. It is an interesting story with wonderful pictures that intrigued us. We used some drama for reading techniques to help us understand the text.
