Critical thinking

As part of PSHE learning this week the children have been thinking critically. We have been looking at photographs and evaluating how the content can be edited, filtered or digitally enhanced so they look very different from their original form.

We have thought about the reasons why images are manipulated by the media for magazines, social media and advertising and the children have shared their ideas about the impact this can have on how we feel when we believe these images to be a true reflection.

The children decided that often photographs and images can be positive on social media but it is important to remember not to believe everything we see on the internet.  In addition, the children reflected that we should use a variety of online locations to check the accuracy of what we read.
