World Book Day

On Thursday, it was world book day.

The children brought in their favourite books and we had quite a range - from Harry Potter, to non-fiction books about animals, to Jacqueline Wilson books. During the day, we met with our twinned classes to share our favourite books and read with some younger children. This was a lovely experience!

In the afternoon, we learnt that the way to get the most enjoyment out of reading is by discussing the books which we read. We had the chance to sit together in groups and share new books together. Some of us were surprised to find that we enjoyed reading texts we wouldn't usually choose, such as poetry.
