Take One Picture

This term the children were lucky enough to take part in the Take One Picture project.

We were given the picture of 'Men of the Docks' by George Bellows and were free to design and make any art work we felt inspired to from the picture.  The project is child lead and the children were interested in the boats and immigration. We linked this to our Roman theme and compared modes of transport.

We then studied the tutelas and insignias of Roman boats and decided to make our own from clay.
