Viking Day!

Year 3 have had a fantastic day with our Viking visitor! The Norse lady told us all about the Viking way of life and showed us some amazing artefacts. She showed us Viking weapons and explained what each one was used for in battle. Some children even had the chance to hold one.

Later we went onto learn how to write messages in the Viking language - Runes. We wrote our names and messages to each other.

We learnt how to play some Viking games such as 9 men's Morris and Kubb. We enjoyed a bit of competition!

Enjoy the pictures and comment below with your favourite part of the day!
