Off with a bang!
What a brilliant start to the term we have had!
In Maths, we have been demonstarting our knowledge of place value. We have used numicon, base ten and bead strings to represent our tens and ones. We have then gone on to counting in 2s, 5s and 10s both practically and in our books.
Our theme this term is all about The Great Fire of London. We were all so excited to be visited by the Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service. They taught us about fire safety and we got to go on the fire engine and spray the hose!
Back in class, we used our blending skills to create fire art. We used yellow, orange and red coloured oil pastels and looked at the movement of the flames.
We were very lucky to have some international visitors come all the way from Finland to talk to us. They told us what their school was like and we were interested to see the similarities and differences with our school.
