Head's Blog

Welcome to this celebration of learning blog. I always think of the blogs as providing a window to look into the children’s fascinating world at school.  I am in the privileged position to be able to capture events across the school and community as they happen and share them with you.  It’s also a bit like a diary in that you can look back and see a colourful reflection of the year.

Summer Fair 2019

The Friends organised a fantastic ‘Space’ themed Summer Fair coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the moon landings.  They adapted swiftly to the unsettled weather and brought some stalls and events inside at the last minute.

The dance club and the choir performed on stage to loud applause.  Peter came from Devon and the children launched rockets right down the field.  Lua won the big prize and you can see her driving the rocket vehicle below. There was something for everyone including brilliant refreshments with burgers cooked by Brian.  The scouts came with their adventure course, Steve brought a police motor bike and of course Pino came with his ice cream van.  Thank you to all the staff and an extra big well done to Miss Peal who was having wet sponges thrown at her in the stocks!

There were lots of smiles and all sorts of fun and challenges which you can see below.

Thank you to all the Friends - you are amazing!
