Sound Science

Y4 have had a fascinating day as scientists learning how sound is created, how it travels and how we hear it.  Miss Sheikh says they’ve enjoyed exploring sound and learning how the air molecules vibrate when they travel through the air and how the signal is sent to the brain.  Tamsyn said she enjoyed striking the tuning fork on the tambourine and watching the rice dance due to the vibrations.

They also made some fantastic instruments at home out of recycled materials which are very effective.
