Welcome to this celebration of learning blog. I always think of the blogs as providing a window to look into the children’s fascinating world at school. I am in the privileged position to be able to capture events across the school and community as they happen and share them with you. It’s also a bit like a diary in that you can look back and see a colourful reflection of the year.

Bridgewater have had a wonderful time taking part in the Northampton Carnival 2018. The theme this year was Peace, Hope and Unity. We won the best float and best meme (demonstration of the theme) what a fantastic day - well done the carnival team.
Mrs Douglas and the team organised the event and invited Paul in from Festival Road who once again inspired the children to work collaboratively, with skill and imagination to produce excellent work for the float. It was amazing to see the creativity, care and standards that the children achieved. Nanny Margaret was involved encouraging the children to strive for high quality and she was very impressed with their attitude and team work.
The big day arrived and the Bridgewater staff rallied round to decorate the float and it certainly looked splendid as it led the procession from the Racecourse and through Northampton. We were very proud to be taking part in the annual community event which brings together the people of Northampton.
