Dear Parents

This week there was a Learning Walk to look at writing across the school. We were impressed at the motivation and attitude to writing from the children and the varied, challenging and exciting writing tasks they were engaged in. Thank you to all for their resilient attitude and enthusiasm!

Coronavirus Update

There are growing cases of Covid-19 in the school at present. A letter came out yesterday to all parents and we would please ask that you read and follow the guidance contained in it. As a school, we regularly update and review the Risk Assessment, adults are working hard to keep areas clean and sanitised and children are remaining, where possible, in smaller groups to reduce transmission.  Thank you for your support in taking LFTs for yourselves and your children, as this will support identification and reduce the spread.

Could we also remind you to:

  • Please make sure adults on site keep moving and remain distanced
  • To protect yourselves can we ask that adults wear masks at drop off and pick up times on site where adult to adult contact can be closer – this also includes dropping off and picking up at OSC and Pacesetter Clubs.
  • Please don’t use the drop off zone at drop-off and pick-up times, unless authorised, as we need to keep the area clear to ensure that everyone can circulate safely

Polite Reminders

Please can we remind you that only Year 6 children are permitted to bring rucksacks. All other year groups (Reception to Year 5) must use school book bags. There is no space to store rucksacks safely until lockers are available in Y6.

Please remember to put your phones away whilst on school premises for safeguarding reasons.

New Gym Equipment

We are excited that new gym equipment has been installed on the Inspire playground –we are hoping the children will enjoy using it from next week.

Cross Country

Tomorrow morning, Nellie, Millie, Noah, Nathaniel and Leo from Year 5 will be competing in the Cross Country County Championships, representing Northampton. Thank you To Miss Conroy for organising and leading the team and to Mrs Cressey and Mrs Ashby for all the help practising. We wish them lots of luck!

Have a good weekend

Mrs Alison Harvey & Mrs Frances Troop
