Christmas Gifts
Jeanette Walsh has written to say thank you for all your generous Christmas gift donations. She says,
“Thanks for your valuable support, many of the children and families living in our County have enjoyed a better Christmas this year.”
We have also received many letters from hospital patients who received letters and gifts from our children in Year 3 and Year 5 and were moved by the generosity and kindness of the children. It was just the little boost that they needed when they were in hospital over Christmas.
Rucksacks
Unfortunately, we do not have the room for Year 4 and Year 5 to bring rucksacks to school, therefore please bring in your book bags.
Earrings
No earrings are to be worn in school; please take them out and save them for the weekends. If they have recently been pierced they must be covered with plasters, however we would suggest that children wait until the summer holiday or as a treat when they go to secondary school.
PE Uniform
A letter was sent out earlier this week reminding everyone to wear the correct, smart PE uniform. Since we have been wearing our PE kit to school as a consequence of COVID, some children have let standards drop and are wearing fashion items which is unfair to the majority and unsafe for lessons.
We would like children to continue wearing PE kit to school on PE days. This appears to suit families from feedback that we have received, however please follow the school guidelines which can be found on the website.
Reminder
The closing date for applications for Reception Class September 2022 places must be submitted by Saturday 15th January 2022 at 5pm.
