Dear Parents

New Intake

Group B have settled in well and had a lovely week exploring the setting and visiting the library. We are looking forward to seeing all the children in school altogether next week. 

Can we remind you that there should only be water in their water bottles please.

Another reminder that all of Key Stage 1 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals … totally free, delicious meals with vegetarian and sandwich options.

Mrs Wise and the Early Years Team have noticed an emerging trend where some children are trying to negotiate with adults in school, which of course isn’t possible as they need to follow the Bridgewater school rules.  Can you remind the children that in school they always need to follow instructions of trusted adults. The school rules can be found on the school website in our Behaviour Policy.

Coats

Can you remind children to come to school with coats next week please as it looks like a blustery week!

Dance Club

Performing Arts have been running dance taster sessions for Years 1-6 before starting a club on Monday evenings. Keep a look out for the paperwork if your child would like a place.

Osmington Bay

Year 6 are very excited as they off to Osmington Bay next week for their residential. Don’t forget to pack your raincoats Year 6!

Myself and Mrs Redden (SENCO) will be supporting them on the trip, therefore if you need to speak to a Senior Leader you can speak to Mrs Troop (Deputy Head), Mrs McNair (Assistant Head Teacher) or Mrs Atlas (School Business Manager).  You can email me via the email address and the message will be passed forward.

Scooters and Bikes

It is great to see so many children walking into school and riding scooters and bikes which is excellent exercise.

However, can you remind children with scooters and bikes that they need to hop off them when they get to the school gate and walk them into school to avoid any collisions. Thank you.

Mobile Phones

We have reminded children in Year 5 and Year 6 this week that they shouldn’t be using their mobile phones within the school grounds at any time, which includes near the clothing bank.

The same rule also applies to families who are dropping off and picking up children from school. Thank you for your cooperation.
