Dear Parents

Welcome Back

It has been such a lovely week back.  The children were excited to see their friends and new staff and have settled in very well. 

Everyone has been going over the rules and values and also establishing great behaviour and learning habits with the children in all the classrooms and around the school.

You couldn’t hear a pin drop in the Inspire building this morning as all the children were listening intently and being so careful with their presentation in their smart new books.

Assembly

We all gathered in the hall on the first day back and had a chance to get together, sing and watch Maisie Summers-Newton, who was a student teacher in Year 4 last year as well as being a Paralympic 4x gold medal winner! She has been an inspiration to us all. It was impressive that so many children had enjoyed cheering her on in the races.

Toilets!

Can people remember to go to the toilet before they drop off or pick up the children as it is becoming overwhelming for staff to escort so many visitors to the toilet at such a busy office time. Thank you.

Goodbye and Best Wishes to Miss Peal

Miss Peal who was with us for 6 years left us this summer to work as a sports coach in a local school. We would like to thank her for her fantastic football coaching, helping Charlie on the MUGA organising games for KS2 at lunchtimes and being a great Year 6 Teaching Assistant. We wish her well for the future. Mr Gritten will now work alongside Charlie from Pacesetters and is based in Year 3 as a Teaching Assistant.

New Starters in Reception

Mrs Wise and the team have had a delightful week visiting the new children at home and next week we will be welcoming Group A into school for their first week.  We can’t wait to see them in their new school uniform ready for an exciting week exploring in Reception.
